The residential home lies 1 minute from the historic Herne Mill and 5 minutes from the centre of town.
Herne Bay is renowed for its award winning beaches with two miles of impressive coastline. The historic town of Canterbury is situated 7 miles away, and also Whitstable 5 miles away.
The care home has been owned by the current proprietor since 2009. It was refurbished in 2013 with a total of 27 beds where state of the art en suite rooms were installed, a spacious conservatory, a brand new wet room and an accessible garden.
The belief and urgency to continue to maintain and transform High Pines presents as foremost importance, hence consequently aiming to enhance quality of life.

What to expect at High Pines
High Pines provides 24 hour care to older people including those with a diagnoses of Dementia and other health conditions. Residents are assisted with activities of daily living such as personal care, laundry, medication, and as appropriate assisting with eating and drinking, continence problems, organising external health professional visits from Doctors, Nurses, Physiotherapists etc. The whole team are there to support residents’ independence and choice, as well as encourage a comfortable and fulfilled life.
Available facilities
The structure of the care home has been dynamically designed over 3 floors, with rooms positioned on all floors. Some of the rooms have en suite, others communal facilities. There is a wet room on the ground floor, 2 bathrooms located on the Ground Floor and 1st Floor. The vibrant communal lounge with a large beautiful flat screen TV, connects to the stunning conservatory – excellent for resting, reading and quiet time. The dining room and kitchen is on the Ground floor too, and it is in the dining area and lounge area where fun group activities take place. The care home also has a lift connecting all floors and a wonderful garden. On site car parking is available and also road parking facilities.
